DaimlerChrysler Announces New Appointments

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., May 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DaimlerChrysler today announced new appointments in Information Technology and Finance.
Ms. Jan A. Bertsch, 49, is appointed Vice President - Information Technology Management, Chief Information Officer, Chrysler Group and Sales MB NAFTA, reporting to Susan J. Unger, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, DaimlerChrysler AG.

In this position, Bertsch is responsible for overseeing IT development and maintenance for Chrysler Group and Mercedes-Benz NAFTA Sales systems and Chrysler Group ITM shared service operations. Bertsch most recently held the position of Vice President - Sales & Marketing Finance at the Chrysler Group.

Ronald E. Kolka, 46, is named Head of Finance & Controlling Chrysler Group and joins the Company's Executive Committee, succeeding David H. Olsen who moves to a Corporate Auditing position reporting to DaimlerChrysler Chairman Dr. Dieter Zetsche and Executive Vice President and Member of the Board of Management, Finance & Controlling Bodo Uebber.

Kolka was formerly Vice President - Corporate Financial Control. In his new role, he will report to Bodo Uebber.

Ms. Kim Harris Jones, 46, is appointed Vice President - Product, Procurement & Cost Management Finance and assumes additional responsibility for Procurement & Supply, Material Cost Management and Source Planning. Most recently, she served as Vice President - Product Finance. Harris Jones will report to Kolka.
